About me

Carol Stewart is an Executive, Career and Leadership Coach, founder of Abounding Solutions and author of Quietly Visible: Leading with Influence and Impact as an Introverted Woman (listed as one of the 10 best self-development books written by women to read during lockdown by BEYOUROWN). With over 25 years coaching and leadership experience, Carol coaches leaders to lead with confidence, influence, and impact. She specialises in introverted women who are senior leaders. She also provides workshops, webinars, training and talks on career development, personal development, and leadership development.

As well as improving their leadership effectiveness and managing change, Carol’s clients have secured positions such as Chief Operating Officer; Head of Learning and Organisational Development; Director; leadership roles in other organisations; promotions; career change; overcome stress; developed resilience; challenged their assumptions, beliefs, and biases; increased self-confidence; overcome imposter syndrome; achieved peak performance; become confident at public speaking; and much more.

Prior to starting her business, Carol worked for the Ministry of Justice. Starting in one of the most junior roles, she progressed to a senior role with responsibility for the operation of a group of magistrates’ courts where she was also a member of the Local Criminal Justice Board for 4 London boroughs.

She is a semi regular columnist for the Sheffield Telegraph and has also written for several other publications including The HR Director magazine, US sites CNBC and The Muse. She has been the featured expert in The Telegraph, Woman and Home magazine, Good Housekeeping magazine and other publications. Her work has led to appearances on BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC Radio London, BBC Radio Sheffield, London Live TV, as well as being a guest on various podcasts and other media outlets. She also hosts the Quietly Visible Podcast for introverted women leaders who want to thrive in leadership and in life.

Carol is a member of a British Standards Institute (BSI) steering group which is developing practical guidance for implementing a diversity, equality and inclusion framework for organisations of any size. She is an advisory board member for First Light Trust, and a Member of the Arbour Academy Trust. She also gives her time to causes that support the next generation, and gender and racial equality.
